Volunteers Wanted for Free Disabled Footballers Course

 Wanted - A Few Interested Individuals

 The Disabled Footballers Course is an opportunity to give back to youth in need.  By adding this skill to your coaching credentials you will be in a position to provide a program geared to disabled players.  This is a growing area in our game and Ajax FC would like to have a few volunteers to attend this FREE course. 

The six hour course covers both theory and practical elements. By the end of the workshop each participant should be able to meet the following outcomes: 

-Apply and extend your existing coaching skills and experience, meet the needs of players with a range of impairments. 

-Establish basic communication skills for coaching soccer players with a disability. 

-Use appropriate terminology.

-Identify appropriate safety and medical considerations. 

-Plan a wide range of coaching sessions for soccer players with a disability. 

-Using the Inclusion Spectrum, plan coaching sessions to include disabled players or provide alternative appropriate opportunities. 

-Understand the player pathways available for disabled players including the appropriate structure for competition.

There are 2 sessions available in our area:

Saturday January 31th from 10am to 4pm at the Ability Centre Whitby

Sunday Feburuary 1st from 10am to 4pm at the Ability Centre Whitby
